Beaded Thunderbird and Bolo Cord Crosses

  • $ 2895

Arizona artist Sandy Garrett beautifully recreates the traditional look of the Southwest with these handcrafted wall crosses.

Silver concho belts and concho-ornamented saddles have a long history in the Southwest. The name concho comes originally from the Spanish word concha, which means conch, or seashell, and it refers to discs of silver used to decorate saddles, belts, and bolo ties.

Theses cross are crafted of bolo cord and wire with a lovely concho "butterfly" at the center. A dramatic bead-accented Thunderbird pendant hangs below the butterfly. The butterfly and other concho pieces are sterling silver plated.
