Sterling Silver New Mexico Zia Earrings 1.75" Navajo Artist Ed Abeyta
The New Mexico Zia sun symbol, displayed on our state flag and also in the design of our state capitol, originated with the Zia Indians of New Mexico, for whom the sun is sacred. The Zia symbol - a red circle with groups of rays pointing in four directions - is painted on ceremonial vases, drawn on the ground around campfires, and used to introduce newborn babies to the sun.
These strikingly beautiful Zia earrings were created by Navajo artist Ed Abeyta.
